Burgau beach is a village located in Algarve region, southern of Portugal. Just on the edge of Algarve’s Costa Vicentina Natural Park.

It´s location is amazing as you can reach Lagos in less than 15 minutes by car and in 20 minutes you are in Sagres, the extreme western tip of Algarve.

This old fishermen village is charming and pitouresque.It´s caracterized by cute streets and typycal portuguese houses. Burgau beach is a small beach with crystal clear waters and sheltered from the northwind.

As Burgau is on the edge of Costa Vicentina park, you wave nice paths with wild nature and at the same time the beautiful rocky coastline and sandy beaches. There are many beautiful walks along the coastline, either you go east or west.

What makes this village special is it sense of familiriaty. As you walk on the streets of Burgau you can see still the traditional houses mostly painted in white and blue. Some people named Burgau the Santorini of Algarve.
